We are proud to be not only a massage therapist-owned and operated business, but also a female-owned and operated massage school! Massage Institute of North Texas is an active member in our community as well as a member of the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce. We are proud to be a small school, which enables us to give personalized attention to each student that passes through our doors. Our faculty and staff provide a thorough, hands-on education, enabling you to meet the growing needs in massage therapy.

Our instructors will be by your side for every step in our program. With over 30 years of combined experience in the classroom and on the table, our instructors teach our lessons clearly and thoroughly. Even more importantly, they help you understand how to utilize that information in your practice. Each instructor has their own style and brings a fun and challenging experience to the classroom.

Our course materials were designed or adapted by our instructors to make sure every learning style Is accommodated. As more than just subject matter experts, our educators are versed in modern adult learning theory, curriculum design, and teaching strategies. item imageLeslie SmithOperations Director, Licensed Massage Instructor, & Licensed Massage Therapist

Leslie’s interest and love of massage began in 1999 when she and her business partner opened a day spa in Southlake, Texas. After hearing about the amazing benefits of massage from her clients, she decided to start receiving massage services to cope with her chronic pain from Fibromyalgia. The healing and restorative effect massage had on her pain management led her to pursue massage training to perfect her own natural massage ability. Through her massage education and practice, Leslie became in tune with body awareness and recognized that massage therapy is a necessary part of injury prevention and recovery.

Leslie attended the Institute of Bodywork Studies and graduated in 2006. She is currently a member of the Association of Bodywork & Massage Professionals and is the Operations Director of Massage Institute of North Texas. Highlights of her bodywork training include Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Sports and Injury, Cupping, and Stretching/Range of Motion, along with other various modalities. Leslie can assist in relieving the effects of stress, chronic pain, headaches, repetitive motion syndromes, tendonitis, grief, and depression and gives a great relaxation massage. Her education (along with having the opportunity to work at the school) has enhanced her training. Leslie appreciates the importance of nurturing ourselves to sustain a balanced, overall sense of well-being and feels blessed to be a part of the process. Leslie is extremely passionate about her work and tailors each session to her clients’ individual needs. Your session with Leslie will be dedicated to meeting your goals.

Christopher LeBlanc is a licensed massage therapist practicing in Flower Mound, Texas. In previous endeavors, Christopher was a manager in the communications industry, where he worked with his employees to achieve a work and life balance. After watching his employees’ health and wellness struggles and experiencing his own, he decided to make a change and be a part of the wellness process. He left his job and went to school at the Institute of Bodywork Studies, where he developed his skills in the Massage Mastery program.

Christopher believes in taking his time to communicate with his clients and making assessments based on what he uncovers during each session. Listening to the client and their body’s response allows him to customize treatment to each individual, including educating the client on self-care practices to reach their desired improvement and symptom relief.
